Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High-Window Glass Cleaner to join our dynamic team in Wolverhampton. This specialist role involves performing expert cleaning of external and internal high-level windows on various commercial and residential buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring immaculate results while strictly adhering to all health and safety regulations, particularly those related to working at heights. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, safety-conscious, and possess a strong work ethic, ready to tackle challenging assignments with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute high-level window cleaning operations using various methods including water-fed poles, cradles, cherry pickers, and abseiling techniques where applicable.
  • Inspect windows and surfaces for damage or areas requiring special attention prior to cleaning.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary equipment, ensuring it is in safe working order and correctly used.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, risk assessments, and method statements for working at heights.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet client deadlines and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers, clients, and team members regarding progress and any issues.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Conduct daily checks on equipment and report any faults or damages immediately.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in high-window cleaning using various access methods.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations related to working at heights.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong physical fitness and comfort with working at considerable heights.
  • Reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification.
  • Valid IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • COSHH awareness certification.
  • First Aid certification.
