Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Reach Truck Specialist to join our night shift team in Santa Ana, CA. This role is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our busy distribution center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper documentation and safe handling of goods.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on reach trucks, reporting any malfunctions.
- Accurately pick and put away inventory, maintaining organization and preventing damage.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifest or other records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating a reach truck (minimum 1 year).
- Current or previous reach truck certification/license.
- Strong understanding and adherence to warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Previous experience working a night shift.
- Experience in a logistics or freight distribution environment.
