Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Excel Reporting Specialist with a strong Business Intelligence focus to join our team. This is a 100% remote position. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights, creating comprehensive reports, and developing interactive dashboards that drive strategic decision-making across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, a solid understanding of BI tools like Power BI, and a passion for data storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into reporting tools.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports.
- Automate existing reports and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and data interpretation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new BI initiatives and strategies.
- Document reporting processes, data definitions, and report specifications.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, VBA macros).
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools, specifically Power BI (dashboard creation, DAX functions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Familiarity with financial services industry data and reporting.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Certification in Microsoft Excel or Power BI.
