Job Description
Embark on an exciting journey as a UPS Tour Bus Driver with a special focus on National Parks. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your passion for driving with a love for America’s breathtaking natural landscapes. You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from various National Park destinations, ensuring a comfortable, informative, and memorable travel experience. This position requires exceptional driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a friendly, professional demeanor to engage with our valued tour participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tour buses safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport passengers comfortably to designated National Park locations and other scenic points.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling as needed.
- Provide engaging commentary and relevant information about the National Parks and points of interest.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior throughout the tour.
- Manage passenger inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to strict schedules while prioritizing safety and passenger comfort.
- Handle unexpected situations with professionalism and calm decision-making.
Required Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record for the past 3-5 years.
- Proven experience in operating large passenger vehicles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and passenger well-being.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as tour schedules demand.
- Physical ability to assist passengers and handle luggage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a tour bus driver, especially in scenic or park routes.
- Knowledge of various US National Parks and their history/ecology.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Customer service experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
- Mechanical aptitude for minor on-road vehicle adjustments.
