Job Description

Are you an online student with a passion for video games and a keen eye for detail? PlayStation Studios is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Game Testers to join our Quality Assurance team in Boulder, CO. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive test plans across various gaming platforms and titles.
  • Identify, reproduce, and accurately document software defects and glitches in a bug tracking system.
  • Provide constructive and detailed feedback on gameplay mechanics, usability, balance, and overall player experience.
  • Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure new issues are not introduced.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and fellow QA testers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all unreleased game content and sensitive information.
  • Adhere to established QA processes and standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for video games and a deep understanding of various genres.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and test plans diligently.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and navigating different operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an online degree or certification program.
  • Prior experience in game testing, even in a volunteer or personal capacity.
  • Familiarity with various gaming platforms (e.g., PlayStation consoles, PC).
  • Basic understanding of game development cycles and software quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to learn new software and tools quickly.
