Job Description
Are you an online student with a passion for video games and a keen eye for detail? PlayStation Studios is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Game Testers to join our Quality Assurance team in Boulder, CO. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans across various gaming platforms and titles.
- Identify, reproduce, and accurately document software defects and glitches in a bug tracking system.
- Provide constructive and detailed feedback on gameplay mechanics, usability, balance, and overall player experience.
- Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure new issues are not introduced.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and fellow QA testers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all unreleased game content and sensitive information.
- Adhere to established QA processes and standards.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games and a deep understanding of various genres.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and test plans diligently.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and navigating different operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an online degree or certification program.
- Prior experience in game testing, even in a volunteer or personal capacity.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (e.g., PlayStation consoles, PC).
- Basic understanding of game development cycles and software quality assurance principles.
- Ability to learn new software and tools quickly.
