Job Description
Are you ready to bring your energy and strength to the exciting world of live events? Onstage Systems is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Part-time Weekend Marquee Riggers to join our dynamic team in Fort Worth. This role involves manual labor and physical exertion in an outdoor setting, ensuring the safe and efficient setup and teardown of marquee structures, staging, and other event equipment. You’ll work primarily on weekends, contributing to a variety of high-profile events across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of event equipment, including marquee components, staging elements, and lighting rigs.
- Participate in the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures such as marquees, tents, and stage frameworks.
- Follow precise rigging plans and safety protocols to secure overhead equipment, banners, and decorative elements.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-event inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and event managers to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment during setup and teardown.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
- Provide exceptional support for all on-site event production needs.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in construction or event setup.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time for weekend shifts.
- Availability to work flexible weekend hours, including early mornings and late nights.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a rigging, event setup, construction, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with standard rigging equipment and techniques (e.g., knots, slings, hoists).
- Certification in basic rigging or relevant safety training (e.g., OSHA 10/30).
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery (certification a plus).
