Job Description
Are you passionate about fitness and eager to kickstart your career in the health and wellness industry? PureGym is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Personal Trainer Assistant to join our Mumbles team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity where full training will be provided, making it perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience. You will play a crucial role in supporting our personal trainers, ensuring smooth gym operations, and contributing to an inspiring member experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Personal Trainers with session set-up and take-down, including preparing equipment and training areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gym floor, ensuring equipment is properly stored and sanitized.
- Provide basic assistance to members with equipment usage and general gym inquiries.
- Monitor gym areas to ensure member safety and adherence to gym policies.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling or client communication.
- Learn and apply best practices in fitness instruction and client interaction under supervision.
- Help facilitate a positive and motivating environment for all gym users.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for health and fitness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of gym etiquette and safety (training will be given).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Basic knowledge of exercise techniques and gym equipment.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
