Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a new career with comprehensive training and excellent support? Mitie is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Day Porter in Portsmouth. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is needed – we provide full training to ensure you succeed. As a Day Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of our client’s premises, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of common areas.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with supplies.
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in designated areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify areas requiring attention.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as required, such as changing lightbulbs.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, clean, and stored correctly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with site management and team members.
- Support event setup and breakdown, including moving furniture and equipment.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training provided!
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
