Job Description
XPO Logistics is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Non-CDL Delivery Drivers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck (non-CDL required) for local and regional deliveries.
- Load, unload, and secure various types of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Verify accuracy of cargo against delivery manifests.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and utilize handheld devices for delivery tracking.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper working order of the delivery vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Basic understanding of navigating using maps or GPS.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with local Springfield, MA routes and areas.
- Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle (even if not for delivery).
