Job Description

XPO Logistics is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Non-CDL Delivery Drivers. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a box truck (non-CDL required) for local and regional deliveries.
  • Load, unload, and secure various types of freight.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Verify accuracy of cargo against delivery manifests.
  • Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and utilize handheld devices for delivery tracking.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper working order of the delivery vehicle.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Basic understanding of navigating using maps or GPS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity with local Springfield, MA routes and areas.
  • Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle (even if not for delivery).
