Job Description

BrightStar Care is seeking Live-in Carers to provide essential support and companionship to our clients in Carmel, Indiana. This is an entry-level position perfect for those new to the care industry, as we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure you have all the skills and confidence needed to excel. As a Live-in Carer, you will reside with a client in their home, offering continuous support, ensuring their safety, and enhancing their quality of life. We provide comfortable accommodation and all the necessary resources for you to thrive in this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercise programs.
- Prepare nutritious meals and manage dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying living areas.
- Provide companionship, engage in meaningful activities, and offer emotional support.
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management as permitted.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment.
- Communicate regularly with the client's family and BrightStar Care management.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.

- Ability to follow care plans and instructions diligently.
- Patience and understanding when working with diverse client needs.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in caregiving, even informal (e.g., caring for a family member).
- Basic cooking skills.
