Job Description
Are you passionate about helping businesses thrive online? Google is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Google Business Profile Support Specialist. In this fully remote role, you will be the frontline for businesses seeking assistance with their Google Business Profile, ensuring they can effectively manage their online presence across Google Search and Maps. You will resolve technical issues, guide users through features, and provide best practices to maximize their visibility and engagement. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a genuine desire to assist our diverse user base.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional support to businesses regarding their Google Business Profile via email, chat, and occasionally phone.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to profile verification, listing accuracy, ownership transfers, and content guidelines.
- Educate users on how to optimize their Google Business Profile, including posting updates, managing reviews, and utilizing analytics.
- Stay up-to-date with Google Business Profile policies, features, and product changes to provide accurate information.
- Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary.
- Contribute to the knowledge base and help documentation to empower self-service for users.
- Collect user feedback to drive product improvements and enhance the overall customer experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience in a customer support or technical support role (minimum 1 year), preferably with remote experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes quickly.
- Familiarity with Google products, especially Google Search, Google Maps, and Google Business Profile.
- Proficiency with CRM software and communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
- Knowledge of local SEO best practices.
- Ability to speak additional languages.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
