Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional AI Research Scientist to join our innovative team in Ventura, CA. This role is crucial for advancing the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning. As a member of our research division, you will be responsible for conducting groundbreaking research, developing novel algorithms, and publishing your findings. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct original research in various fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Design, implement, and evaluate novel AI models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into Google products.
- Publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the scientific community.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research.
- Actively participate in internal and external AI research forums and discussions.
- Work closely with our legal and HR teams to navigate Global Talent Visa requirements and processes.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related technical field.
- Strong publication record in leading AI/ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL).
- Proficiency in at least one major deep learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX).
- Expertise in Python programming.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and executing research projects.
- Solid understanding of mathematical foundations of machine learning and statistics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-doctoral experience in AI/ML research.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
- Familiarity with various research methodologies and experimental design.
- Experience in contributing to open-source projects.
- Specific expertise in areas such as generative models, causal inference, robust AI, or explainable AI.
- Prior experience in a global or multicultural research setting.
