Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front Office / Reception Manager to lead our front desk team in Brighton. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the guest arrival and departure experience, ensuring seamless operations, and maintaining the highest standards of service. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and a supportive environment for your team. This position comes with relocation assistance to help the right candidate make a smooth transition to Brighton.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all Front Office operations, including reception, concierge, and guest services.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by resolving issues efficiently and proactively anticipating needs.
- Oversee check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage room inventory, rates, and occupancy to maximize revenue.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures and service standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests with professionalism and discretion.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Front Office Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager in a reputable hotel (3+ years).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Multi-lingual capabilities.
- Experience with OnQ PMS.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services in Brighton.
