Job Description

Are you passionate about fitness and eager to kickstart your career in the health and wellness industry? Nuffield Health Summertown is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Personal Trainer Assistant. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity where full training will be provided, allowing you to learn the ropes from experienced professionals. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our fitness facilities run smoothly, supporting our Personal Trainers and providing an excellent experience for our members. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Personal Trainers with session set-up and breakdown, including preparing equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the gym floor, studio spaces, and equipment.
  • Provide attentive support to members, ensuring their safety and a positive experience.
  • Learn and understand various fitness equipment and exercise techniques.
  • Shadow experienced Personal Trainers to gain practical knowledge and insights.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, such as scheduling or member inquiries.
  • Ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  • Engage with members, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of gym etiquette or fitness principles.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (training can be provided).
  • Enrolment or interest in fitness-related courses or certifications.
