Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor alarm systems and video surveillance to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents, fires, and security breaches, according to established procedures.
- Write detailed reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Enforce property rules and regulations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a polite and professional manner.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter unauthorized activities.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to observe and recall details accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and obtain a security licence (cost covered by GardaWorld).
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Prior customer service experience.
