Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in logistics with a global leader? DHL Supply Chain is seeking a motivated and reliable Dispatch Runner to join our warehouse team in Zephyrhills, FL. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ins and outs of supply chain operations. As a Dispatch Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods by assisting with dispatch tasks, document handling, and light material movement within our facility. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within a dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dispatchers with organizing and preparing shipping and receiving documentation.
- Retrieve and deliver various documents, packages, and small parts to different departments within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispatch area and assigned vehicles.
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with light material handling as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, drivers, and other departments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if informal).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
