Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically capable individuals to join our team as a Ground Hub Laborer. In this critical role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure packages are handled efficiently and safely within our fast-paced distribution hub. Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading packages and freight, by hand or using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Sorting packages according to destination, ensuring accurate and timely routing.
- Scanning packages with handheld devices to maintain inventory and tracking accuracy.
- Operating various equipment safely and efficiently, including conveyors and sortation systems.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Performing other manual duties as assigned to support overall hub operations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing workloads.
- Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physically demanding role.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
