Job Description

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Dialysis Tech Trainees in Fremont, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated candidates to enter the rapidly growing field of renal care. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the necessary skills to become a certified Dialysis Technician. You will learn to provide life-sustaining dialysis treatments, monitor patients, and maintain equipment, all while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role offers immediate entry into a high-demand profession with a clear path for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to learn all aspects of dialysis treatment.
- Prepare and set up dialysis machines and equipment, ensuring sterility and proper functioning.
- Monitor patients during treatment, assessing vital signs and responding to changes or complications.
- Document patient information, treatment parameters, and observations accurately and thoroughly.
- Provide direct patient care under supervision, including cannulation and patient education.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the dialysis unit, adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong desire to learn and develop a career in healthcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist patients as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (can be obtained during training).
- Prior customer service experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
