Job Description
Are you a energetic and friendly 15-year-old looking for your first job experience in a fun, fast-paced restaurant environment? Chili’s Grill & Bar in Memphis, TN, is hiring enthusiastic Hosts/Hostesses for night and weekend shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable customer service skills, work with a great team, and earn tips! As a Host/Hostess, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the stage for their dining experience. We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, eager to learn, and love making people feel welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them genuinely upon departure.
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently, ensuring fair and timely seating.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and inform them of their server's name.
- Answer incoming calls and assist guests with inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and restrooms.
- Assist with light cleaning duties and table resets as needed.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth dining room operations.
- Support the team by helping with various tasks during peak hours.
Required Skills
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role (even volunteer work).
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
- A desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
