Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on cloud migration to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in migrating critical on-premise infrastructure and applications to a public cloud environment. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute cloud migration strategies from on-premise data centers to public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and management.
- Collaborate with application development teams to ensure their services are cloud-ready and optimized for performance and cost in the cloud.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into all cloud infrastructure designs and implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical infrastructure operations.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with large-scale cloud migration projects.
- Expertise in at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and storage in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
