Job Description
Join Banner Health as a Facility Support Worker, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of our facilities in Gilbert. This position is vital to ensuring a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks focused on cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing various areas within our healthcare setting, contributing directly to the well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal in assigned areas.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces, restrooms, and patient rooms following established protocols and using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Organize and maintain supply closets, ensuring adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and linens.
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks or report larger issues to the appropriate department.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving equipment.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or facility support role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
