Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Wall Art Mounting Professional with a specialized focus on large mirrors and frames to join our esteemed team at Design Associates. This role is crucial for the final stages of our interior design projects, ensuring that all wall art, particularly oversized mirrors and intricate frames, are installed flawlessly, securely, and aesthetically. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art handling, precise installation techniques, and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality. You will work closely with our design team and project managers to execute complex installations in high-end residential and commercial settings, often involving valuable and fragile pieces.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertly install a wide range of wall art, with a primary focus on large, heavy mirrors and intricate custom frames, in high-end residential and commercial environments.
• Assess structural integrity of walls and determine appropriate mounting hardware and techniques for secure, level, and aesthetically pleasing installations.
• Safely handle, transport, and position valuable and fragile art pieces, adhering to best practices for art conservation and damage prevention.
• Collaborate with interior designers, project managers, and clients to understand placement specifications and ensure alignment with design vision.
• Perform minor repairs or adjustments to frames or mounting hardware as needed prior to installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, protecting client property and ensuring minimal disruption during installations.
• Manage and organize inventory of specialized tools, hardware, and supplies.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during every phase of installation.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in art installation, picture hanging, or related field, with a proven track record of handling large-scale items.
• Proficiency in various mounting techniques and hardware for diverse wall materials (drywall, plaster, stone, wood, concrete).
• Expertise in safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy and oversized objects.
• Strong understanding of structural integrity and load-bearing capacities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements and alignment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to unique installation challenges.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in art handling, rigging, or specialized installation techniques.
• Experience working in a luxury residential or commercial design environment.
• Knowledge of various art styles, framing techniques, and materials.
• Portfolio demonstrating previous high-quality wall art installations, especially large mirrors and frames.
