Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Warehouse Concierge for our high-end retail distribution center in Aurora, Illinois. This unique role blends meticulous inventory management with exceptional service, ensuring the pristine handling and accurate dispatch of luxury goods. You will be a key point of contact for special requests, high-value item processing, and maintaining the highest standards of presentation for our premium merchandise before it reaches our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and accurate placement of high-value and special-order merchandise.
- Manage and process returns of high-end items, ensuring proper documentation and quality control.
- Act as a liaison between the distribution center, retail stores, and online customer service teams for complex orders and inquiries.
- Implement and maintain impeccable organizational standards for the storage and presentation of luxury inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits for high-value items, reconciling discrepancies and reporting findings.
- Prepare and package high-end products for shipment, ensuring items are presented perfectly and protected during transit.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, with a specific focus on secure handling of valuable goods.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics environment.
- Proven ability to handle high-value or delicate merchandise with extreme care and precision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury retail or a high-end distribution setting.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures for premium products.
- Certification in operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- A passion for customer service and delivering an elevated experience.
