Job Description
Are you a skilled bicycle mechanic with a passion for providing exceptional customer service? Velofix is seeking a dedicated Mobile Bicycle Mechanic to join our North Las Vegas team. In this role, you will travel to client locations in a fully equipped mobile workshop to perform a variety of bicycle services, with a primary focus on tune-ups. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring client satisfaction, all while representing the Velofix brand with professionalism and expertise. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and direct interaction with clients in a dynamic, on-the-go environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive bicycle tune-ups, safety checks, and minor repairs at client homes or chosen locations.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide accurate explanations and solutions to clients.
- Conduct thorough inspections and recommend additional services or parts as needed.
- Manage inventory within the mobile workshop, ensuring all necessary tools and parts are available.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional mobile workshop environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service status, pricing, and cycling advice.
- Process payments and complete service reports accurately.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.
- Continuously update knowledge on new bicycle technologies and repair techniques.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bicycle mechanic experience in a shop or mobile setting.
- Strong knowledge of bicycle components, repair techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency with various hand and power tools specific to bicycle repair.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver bicycles and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized bicycle mechanic program (e.g., UBI, Barnett Bicycle Institute).
- Experience with electric bikes (e-bikes) and their specific components.
- Comfortable using mobile scheduling and payment software.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing mobile service role.
