Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Dental Receptionist to join our professional team at Evergreen Dental & Orthodontics in The Woodlands, TX. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. This full-time position requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining an efficient and supportive office environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage the appointment book efficiently.
  • Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits, process claims, and handle patient billing.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
  • Answer patient inquiries and provide information regarding services, appointments, and office policies.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, and mail.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support dental staff with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, EagleSoft).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent vocational training.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with insurance claim submission and appeals process.
  • CPR certification.
