This is an entry-level position offering comprehensive training for those new to the childcare field. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily educational and recreational activities.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, diapering, and toilet training, as needed.
- Engage actively with children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- A genuine love for children and a passion for their development.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer or paid experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, camp counselor, mentor).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of child development stages.
