Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented DIY Content Editor to join our remote team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for crafting, home improvement, and all things Pinterest-worthy. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, editing, and optimizing DIY content, ensuring it is inspiring, accurate, and highly shareable. If you love transforming ideas into beautiful, actionable projects and have a keen eye for visual trends, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread DIY articles, tutorials, and visual content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Develop compelling content ideas for Pinterest-inspired DIY projects, seasonal crafts, and home decor trends.
- Collaborate with writers, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality multimedia content.
- Optimize existing and new content for SEO and social media engagement, particularly for Pinterest.
- Research new DIY trends, materials, and techniques to keep our content fresh and relevant.
- Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Provide constructive feedback to content creators to elevate the overall quality of our DIY offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in content editing, with a focus on lifestyle, home, or DIY topics.
- Strong understanding of Pinterest as a content discovery platform and visual search engine.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
