Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all required training programs and modules, both classroom and hands-on.
  • Learn and master the safe and effective operation of dialysis machines and related equipment.
  • Assist certified Dialysis Technicians and registered nurses in providing direct patient care during dialysis treatments.
  • Monitor patients during treatments, observe vital signs, and report any changes or concerns to supervising staff.
  • Prepare dialysis machines and equipment, ensuring all supplies are readily available and sterile.
  • Document patient information, treatment parameters, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere strictly to all Banner Health policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop a career in healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for patients.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with patient care and equipment handling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (can be obtained during training).
