Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required training programs and modules, both classroom and hands-on.
- Learn and master the safe and effective operation of dialysis machines and related equipment.
- Assist certified Dialysis Technicians and registered nurses in providing direct patient care during dialysis treatments.
- Monitor patients during treatments, observe vital signs, and report any changes or concerns to supervising staff.
- Prepare dialysis machines and equipment, ensuring all supplies are readily available and sterile.
- Document patient information, treatment parameters, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to all Banner Health policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong desire to learn and develop a career in healthcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for patients.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with patient care and equipment handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) (can be obtained during training).
