Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our dynamic Human Resources team in North Las Vegas. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in the administration and support of our comprehensive 401k and health benefits programs. You will serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, assist with enrollment processes, ensure compliance with benefit regulations, and collaborate with our benefits vendors. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing excellent employee support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain employee 401k and health benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process benefit-related paperwork and ensure data accuracy in HRIS and vendor systems.
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment process, including communication, system updates, and employee support.
  • Liaise with external benefits vendors and brokers to resolve issues and ensure smooth plan operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to 401k plans (e.g., ERISA, DOL) and health benefits (e.g., ACA, HIPAA).
  • Prepare and distribute benefits communications to employees.
  • Support benefits audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and contributions.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR operations or benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle HR).
  • Strong understanding of 401k plans, health benefits (medical, dental, vision), and related compliance requirements (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, large organization.
  • Experience with international benefits administration is a plus.
