As a Hotel Porter, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests have a seamless and comfortable stay from arrival to departure. Your role is crucial in making first and lasting impressions, assisting with luggage, providing information, and supporting various hotel operations to maintain our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon their arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring safe and efficient transport to and from rooms.
- Provide guests with accurate information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and directions.
- Assist guests with special requests, deliveries, and amenities in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
- Support front desk and other departments with various tasks as needed, including occasional light maintenance or errands.
- Ensure the security of guest belongings and report any suspicious activities or safety concerns immediately.
- Operate hotel vehicles (if required and licensed) for guest transport or errands.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- A proactive and helpful attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or customer service role is an advantage.
- Valid UK driving license for operating hotel vehicles (if applicable to specific duties).
- Familiarity with local Bradford area and attractions.
