Job Description
Join Best Buy’s dedicated delivery team as a High School Delivery Offsider, specifically focusing on appliance deliveries. This entry-level, part-time position offers a fantastic opportunity for high school students or recent graduates to gain valuable work experience in a dynamic retail environment. You will assist our lead drivers in safely and efficiently delivering and installing a variety of home appliances to our customers’ homes. This role requires physical stamina, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead driver in the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of appliances.
- Navigate routes and assist with mapping to ensure timely deliveries.
- Help with basic appliance installation, setup, and removal of old units as directed.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during deliveries and installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the lead driver and dispatch team regarding delivery status and any issues.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or a recent graduate.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor role or customer service.
- Basic understanding of tools and appliance handling.
