Job Description

Are you passionate about video games? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and love finding bugs before anyone else? We’re looking for enthusiastic, entry-level playtesters to join our quality assurance team in Cedar Rapids. This is an incredible opportunity to turn your love for gaming into a career. You’ll be instrumental in identifying and documenting issues, ensuring our games deliver the best possible experience to players worldwide. No prior experience is necessary – we’ll provide all the training you need!

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and identify bugs, glitches, and other issues within game titles.
  • Accurately document, report, and track defects using our internal bug tracking system.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
  • Provide objective and constructive feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand game mechanics and testing requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and new game releases to enhance testing methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Passion for video games across various genres.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for bug reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with beta testing or quality assurance, even informally.
  • Familiarity with various game genres and platforms.
  • Basic understanding of bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus.
