Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and possess an analytical mindset? This is a unique opportunity to kickstart your career as a WFH Game Analyst with Xbox Game Studios. This role is designed for individuals eager to dive deep into game data, player behavior, and market trends to provide actionable insights that enhance game development and player experience. As a Game Analyst, you will play a crucial role in understanding how players interact with our titles, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to the strategic direction of our games. This is an entry-level position with a clear career path, offering comprehensive training and mentorship to grow your skills in a dynamic and innovative industry. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets of player behavior, game telemetry, and in-game economy data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with game designers, product managers, and development teams to provide data-driven recommendations for game features, monetization strategies, and user experience improvements.
- Conduct A/B tests and provide post-launch analysis of new features and content updates.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for game innovation.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analysis and reporting.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- A genuine passion for video games and understanding player motivations.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with SQL or other database query languages.
- Prior experience with game analytics or user research.
- Knowledge of gaming industry trends and player psychology.
