VICE Media Group is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Weekend Content Creator to join our remote team. This part-time role is perfect for individuals looking to leverage their creativity and online savvy during weekends to produce engaging content across various digital platforms. You’ll be responsible for ideating, creating, and publishing content that resonates with our target audience, driving engagement and expanding our digital footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engaging content ideas for weekend publication across various digital platforms, including social media, blogs, and short-form video.
- Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content tailored to specific platform requirements and audience demographics.
- Monitor online trends and current events to ensure content relevance and timeliness.
- Collaborate with the broader content team to maintain brand consistency and alignment with content strategy.
- Engage with the online community and respond to comments/messages as needed.
- Track and report on content performance, using insights to optimize future creations.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical guidelines, editorial standards, and legal requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to create engaging digital content (writing, photo, video).
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, etc.) and their unique content requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (US English).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with basic content creation tools (e.g., photo editing software, video editing apps).
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced digital environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a content creation role, even if freelance or volunteer.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for content creation.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to track content performance.
- A portfolio of past content creation work (e.g., personal blog, social media accounts, video projects).
