Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Retail Banker to join our team in Wesley Chapel, FL. This exciting opportunity offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend shifts, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. As a Retail Banker, you will be the face of Truist, providing exceptional service to our clients, assisting with a variety of banking needs, and identifying opportunities to introduce them to financial solutions that can help them achieve their goals. You will play a crucial role in building lasting client relationships and contributing to the success of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Process routine banking transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cashing checks.
- Proactively identify client needs and educate them on appropriate Truist products and services, such as checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, and loan products.
- Open new accounts and services for clients, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Refer clients to specialized financial partners (e.g., mortgage lenders, financial advisors) when complex needs are identified.
- Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex problems to management when necessary.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including those related to anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all Truist products, services, and digital banking solutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance banking knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a banking or financial services role.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing sales environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
