Job Description
Are you deeply passionate about global soccer and the EA Sports FC franchise? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EA Sports FC Specialist to join our dynamic team in Portland. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the ongoing success and evolution of EA Sports FC, with a specific focus on global soccer content, community engagement, and operational support. You will work closely with development teams, community managers, and marketing to ensure the game accurately reflects the global soccer landscape and meets the expectations of our passionate player base. This role requires an individual with exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of game mechanics, and an encyclopedic knowledge of professional soccer leagues, players, and culture worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global soccer news, trends, and player performance to inform game content updates and features for EA Sports FC.
- Provide detailed feedback and analysis on game features, mechanics, and data accuracy related to soccer leagues, teams, and players.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement, test, and verify in-game content accuracy, including player ratings, team rosters, and league structures.
- Support community engagement initiatives by acting as a subject matter expert for global soccer within the EA Sports FC ecosystem.
- Analyze player feedback and community sentiment regarding soccer-related content and contribute to solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of game updates, patches, and live service content schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Conduct competitive analysis of other soccer-related media and games to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as an internal resource for global soccer knowledge, providing insights to various departments.
Required Skills
- Deep, encyclopedic knowledge of global professional soccer, including major leagues (e.g., Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, MLS, Liga MX), teams, players, and history.
- Extensive hands-on experience playing and analyzing EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA) games.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback on game mechanics and content.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sports Management, Communications, Game Design) or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in a second language relevant to global soccer (e.g., Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian).
- Experience in community management or content creation for gaming or sports.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze emergent trends in sports or gaming.
- Experience with bug reporting and tracking systems.
- Basic understanding of game development pipelines and live service operations.
