Join the FedEx team in Memphis as a Warehouse Packer! This role focuses on light work duties, primarily involving packing and preparing items for shipment. You will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring packages are securely prepared for their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pack items into appropriate containers, ensuring secure placement and proper cushioning.
- Verify product counts and ensure correct items are packaged according to order specifications.
- Apply labels and documentation accurately to packed items.
- Operate packing equipment as needed, including tape dispensers and packaging machines (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform quality checks on packed items to prevent damage during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily packing targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic literacy skills (reading and writing English).
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform light lifting (up to 20 lbs) for extended periods, with opportunities for sit-down tasks.
