Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in the medical device industry? Medtronic is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Trainee to join our team in Minneapolis. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in quality control. You will learn the fundamentals of quality assurance, inspection techniques, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the integrity and safety of our cutting-edge medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of the structured training program, including classroom and on-the-job training.
- Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inspection, testing, and evaluation of raw materials, in-process components, and finished medical devices.
- Assist senior Quality Control technicians with routine inspections and data collection.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed records.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to senior staff.
- Collaborate with production teams to understand manufacturing processes and potential quality impacts.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to upholding quality standards and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college coursework or vocational training in a scientific, technical, or manufacturing-related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the medical device industry or quality assurance.
- Previous experience in a role requiring precision or adherence to strict procedures.
