Job Description
Join UPS as a City Driver and become an essential part of our award-winning logistics team. We are looking for dedicated individuals to deliver and pick up packages in a timely and efficient manner within the Casper area. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely. You’ll be the face of UPS in the community, ensuring our customers receive their deliveries with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a UPS package delivery vehicle in various weather conditions and traffic environments.
- Deliver and pick up packages on an assigned route, following established procedures and time schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including package scans and customer signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving laws and company safety policies.
- Handle packages weighing up to 70 pounds, and occasionally up to 150 pounds with assistance.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possession of a valid driver's license for at least 12 months.
- Clean driving record (no moving violations, DUI/DWI, or reckless driving incidents in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or route-based driving role.
- Familiarity with the Casper, WY geographical area.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
