Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Arvada office as a Freight Forwarding Aide. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn the intricate world of global shipping and logistics. As an Aide, you will provide crucial administrative and operational support to our freight forwarding teams, assisting with daily tasks that ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain management, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to real-world logistics challenges. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals with little to no prior experience in the field who are ready to embark on a dynamic career path.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist freight forwarding specialists with document preparation and data entry, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and clients to track shipment status and provide updates.
- Maintain accurate records and files for all shipments, ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the team in resolving minor shipping discrepancies and operational issues.
- Learn and utilize various logistics software and internal systems.
- Perform general administrative duties as required to support office operations.
