Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Search Query Analyst with a strong focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing search query data to identify trends, optimize content strategies, and improve our visibility in search engine results. You will work closely with our SEO and content teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations that drive organic traffic and achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets of search queries, keyword performance, and user behavior to identify opportunities for SEO improvement.
- Perform competitive analysis to understand industry trends and competitor strategies in search.
- Develop and implement keyword research strategies to expand our organic reach and target relevant audiences.
- Monitor and report on key SEO performance metrics, including rankings, traffic, and conversions, providing regular insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to optimize existing content and inform new content development based on search query insights.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues related to indexing, crawling, and site architecture that may impact search query performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and cutting-edge SEO best practices.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in SEO, with a strong, demonstrable focus on keyword research and search query analysis.
- Proficiency with leading SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and proven experience working with large, complex datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Excellent understanding of search engine algorithms and critical ranking factors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for advanced data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of web analytics principles and reporting methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related field.
- Prior experience with SQL or other database query languages.
- Familiarity with various content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they pertain to SEO.
