Job Description
Join Easterseals Arkansas as a Weekend Support Worker and make a profound difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities in Fayetteville. In this vital part-time role, you will provide person-centered support during weekend hours, empowering clients to achieve their personal goals, engage with their community, and maintain their independence. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and community settings on weekends.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Facilitate community integration and participation in recreational, social, and educational activities.
- Administer medication as prescribed and document observations accurately.
- Implement individualized support plans and behavioral strategies effectively.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of services provided and client progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members.
Required Skills
- Strong empathy, compassion, and patience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation.
- Valid Arkansas driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Certification as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
