Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Google Chat Moderator to join our global team. This crucial role involves 24/7 monitoring and moderation of Google Chat communities, ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all users. You will be responsible for enforcing community guidelines, responding to user inquiries, and escalating complex issues as needed. This is a fully remote position, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to maintain continuous coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Google Chat communities 24/7 for adherence to community guidelines and terms of service.
  • Proactively identify and address inappropriate content, spam, and user behavior.
  • Respond to user reports and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Escalate critical issues, technical problems, or severe violations to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of moderation activities and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent moderation practices and contribute to guideline improvements.
  • Stay informed about platform updates, community trends, and best practices in online moderation.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics and moderation best practices.
  • Ability to make sound judgments quickly and impartially.
  • Proficiency with Google Chat or similar real-time communication platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • High level of empathy and conflict resolution skills.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in online community management, content moderation, or customer support.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish, French, German, etc.) is a plus.
