Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior QA Automation Engineer with a keen focus on Python and C++ to join our dynamic and innovative team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while collaborating with a globally distributed team. As a Junior QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests, identifying defects, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues. This role is ideal for an individual who has foundational knowledge in QA principles, strong programming skills in Python and C++, and a passion for automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and C++.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects.
  • Collaborate with software developers to understand product features and technical requirements.
  • Report, track, and verify software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of test strategies for new features and releases.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and automation frameworks.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual testing when necessary to supplement automation efforts.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python programming for automation scripting.
  • Familiarity with C++ for testing compiled applications or libraries.
  • Basic understanding of software QA methodologies and testing principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Google Test/Mock).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of database testing concepts.
  • Previous internship or project experience in a QA or development role.
