Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy Yoga Studio Receptionist to join our team for evening shifts. This crucial front-line role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, has an affinity for health and wellness, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As the first point of contact for our students, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include managing student check-ins, answering inquiries, handling sales, maintaining studio cleanliness, and supporting the overall smooth operation of our evening classes. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all students and visitors, ensuring an excellent first impression.
  • Efficiently check-in students for classes and workshops using our studio management software.
  • Process new student registrations, class passes, memberships, and retail sales accurately.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly, providing comprehensive information about classes, schedules, and promotions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, change rooms, and common spaces throughout your shift.
  • Assist students with any inquiries or concerns, demonstrating a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Open and close the studio as per established procedures, including balancing the cash register.
  • Promote studio events, workshops, and retail products effectively.
  • Support instructors with class setup and student needs as required.

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual, especially for evening shifts.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a yoga studio, fitness center, or similar wellness environment.
  • Knowledge of yoga philosophy and practice.
  • Experience with MindBody Online or similar studio management software.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
