Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Part-time Facility Guards to join our team for weekend shifts. This role is crucial for maintaining security and order at various facilities across New Port Richey, Florida. As a Facility Guard, you will be responsible for protecting property, ensuring the safety of personnel, and deterring illegal or inappropriate activities. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force if necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
