Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented HR Recruitment Verifier to join our dynamic team in Norwich. This ‘Smart Working Role’ offers flexibility and an opportunity to contribute significantly to our recruitment process by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of candidate information. You will be responsible for conducting thorough background checks, verifying credentials, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, playing a crucial part in our commitment to quality placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive background checks, including employment history, educational qualifications, and professional references.
- Verify candidate data against provided documents and external sources to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
- Liaise with candidates, former employers, educational institutions, and other relevant bodies to gather and confirm information.
- Identify and report discrepancies or potential red flags in candidate applications.
- Maintain meticulous records of all verification activities and results in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Ensure all verification processes comply with data protection regulations (GDPR) and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with recruitment consultants and HR professionals to streamline the hiring process.
- Provide timely updates on verification status and escalate complex cases as necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative, HR, or recruitment support role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective liaison.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in a verification or background checking role.
- Knowledge of relevant employment law and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
