Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Wellness Screening Nurse to join our dynamic team, specializing in corporate events. This role is perfect for a nurse who thrives in high-energy environments, loves interacting with people, and is passionate about preventative health. You will be responsible for conducting various wellness screenings at corporate events, health fairs, and community outreach programs throughout the San Diego area. This position requires excellent clinical skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse settings. Your proactive approach will help promote health awareness and early detection, making a tangible difference in the lives of our corporate partners and community members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wellness screenings, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and body composition analysis.
- Provide basic health education and lifestyle coaching to participants based on screening results.
- Accurately record and document all screening data and participant information.
- Set up and break down screening stations efficiently at various event locations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all participant health information.
- Collaborate with event coordinators and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth event execution.
- Manage and maintain screening equipment and supplies.
- Respond to participant inquiries and provide appropriate resources or referrals.
Required Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Proficiency in performing basic health screenings (BP, glucose, cholesterol, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable with mobile technology for data entry.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in corporate wellness, community health, or public health settings.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Tagalog).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
