Job Description
Join Royal Caribbean International as a Cruise Ship Nurse, providing comprehensive healthcare services to guests and crew aboard our state-of-the-art vessels. Key Responsibilities
- Provide general nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical services to guests and crew.
- Conduct routine health assessments and screenings.
- Assist in managing and maintaining medical inventory and medical supplies.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records in compliance with international standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in emergency drills.
- Collaborate with the medical team, ship's officers, and other departments to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the ship's doctors.
- Educate guests and crew on health and wellness topics, promoting preventative care.
Required Skills
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in home country (or equivalent international licensure).
- Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in acute care, emergency medicine, or critical care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, especially under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multicultural, and confined environment.
- Proficiency in medical record-keeping and basic computer skills for documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Previous experience in a trauma or emergency department setting.
- Prior experience working on a cruise ship or in remote medical environments.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification.
- Proficiency in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German).
