Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Instrument Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling a comprehensive range of scientific instruments to laboratories and research facilities within your assigned territory in the New Port Richey area and surrounding regions. This position offers a competitive base salary along with uncapped commission potential, rewarding your efforts and success in driving sales and expanding our market presence. You will leverage your technical understanding and sales expertise to build strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and provide exceptional service and support to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for scientific instruments within the assigned territory.
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new leads within various sectors, including academic institutions, research labs, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial clients.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and in-depth discussions with prospective and existing customers.
  • Negotiate contracts, prepare detailed proposals, and effectively close sales opportunities to meet revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for their scientific instrument needs.
  • Provide comprehensive post-sales support, coordinating seamlessly with technical service teams to ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction.
  • Stay continuously informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Accurately maintain customer records, sales activities, and sales forecasts using CRM software.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in instrument sales or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of scientific instrumentation and general laboratory processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and efficiently manage a sales territory.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering) or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience selling into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, or academic research markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales quotas in a competitive sales environment.
